Herbal support in Perimenopause

£30.00

In this two hour in-person workshop, held here at the R&R Sanctuary, we’ll discuss home herbalism approaches, learn about some helpful herbs, and prepare 3 herbal remedies to support the experiences associated with perimenopause.

Next available date:

  • Wednesday 1st April, 7-9pm, North Berwick

We’ll consider the roots of the symptoms and experiences, and I’ll share plant-based strategies which you might like to incorporate into your own approach or lifestyle. What we’ll cover:

  • Discuss approaches in responding to and managing symptoms;

  • What are the ‘hormone balancing’ herbs, and how do they work?

  • Plants which can provide the body with phytoestrogen, a precurser to your own hormone regulation;

  • The role of the adrenal glands and a remedy to support adrenal fatigue;

  • The role of the liver, and a tea blend to optimise its role in your body’s quest for balance;

  • The link between hormones and cognitive function, and a remedy to support the nervous system;

  • The place of ritual and ceremony, and looking at this life stage with compassionate heart and optimism.

I will aim to hold an inclusive and non-judgemental space to ask questions, share wins / challenges, inspire each other. For so long in western culture peri/menopause has been a path walked silently, individually — maybe we hold a perception that we must ‘maintain standards’ in work, society, family, but Women are also silent for fear of judgement or disapproval of other women.

This is an opportunity to come together in a grounded, safe and respectful way, to feel empowered to step forward in this stage of becoming a new version of your self. It does not matter what your choices are / have been in the past. What matters is that you feel you are empowered to make your choices, listening to the wisdom of your own body.

Feedback from recent perimenopause workshop participants:

“Thank you for presenting the content and messages in a way that empowers rather than disempowers. I love the idea of sitting with our symptoms, understanding them and supporting ourselves.”

“I really, really enjoyed last night. It was not only supportive but nice to hear that you’re not alone in it all. I think the biggest bonus was positivity! The fact that’s it’s a new chapter of strength and wisdom and could be full of so much potential. There’s so much thrown at us about what we should and shouldn’t do, miracle treatments and supplements and it’s overwhelming. You reminded us our bodies are the best at knowing what it needs if we listen.”

You don't need to have any past experience of herbs, or making herbal remedies, I will guide the evening fully. I will provide detailed notes for you to take home, and you’ll take home three herbal remedies to try.
