Animal Reiki session/s

from £35.00

For those of us who love animals, they are our world!

They live with us as our family members and companions, they help us forget our worries and give us a reason to get up in the morning. Animals assist us, protect us, and bring us joy. I am an animal lover and share Reiki at home with my dogs, bees and the wild creatures in the herb garden as well as professionally.

With Animal Reiki Therapy, as a Reiki Master Practitioner I can help an animal in your care feel less stressed, recover more quickly from injury or surgery, and improve their emotional well-being.

  • Reiki is a therapeutic practice which offers complementary healing by promoting harmony and balance.

  • Reiki for animals can offer long-lasting — sometimes life-long — emotional healing following trauma, abuse, neglect, fear and trust issues, bringing peace into even the most complex situations.

  • Reiki can promote deep relaxation and stress-reduction and, over time, reduces the anxiety which creates stress for high-strung or nervous animals.

  • Reiki has the ability to aid recovery from physical illness and injury in animals.

Reiki gently goes directly to those situations in need of healing, even if they are not known to the practitioner or their human. Energy healing is intelligent, and goes to the area in need of healing. Reiki is safe and comfortable for your animal, and sessions are always on the animal’s terms respecting their free will to engage with the energy healing.

Start with one session, to see the difference it might make your beloved animal.
We’ll go from there: maybe a course of sessions is helpful, maybe where there has been chronic imbalance, trauma or pain, but sometimes one treatment is enough to help restore an animals holistic health.

What to expect:

  • All animals are treated in their own homes or environment.

  • The appointment lasts 1 hour, including time for a review, discussion and to discuss next steps at the end.

  • The price includes travel within East Lothian. Please contact me if you are based further afield, to discuss options.

  • Payment is made via this link, and the appointment arranged by mutual availability, Monday - Thursday between 10am - 2pm, in evenings, and I have ad-hoc weekend availability.

  • You will be asked to complete a client information/declaration form (which is an insurance requirement). Any information given is strictly confidential.

  • Reiki can be given hands-on or through an in-person ‘distance’ connection; the animal doesn’t have to be handled. I assess the situation and think of my own safety as well as the animal’s comfort, permission and tolerance / sensitivity.

  • Please contact me to discuss the remote ‘distance’ option, if that’s more appropriate for your situation.

Legalities to note:

  • Animal Reiki Therapy is provided in Accordance with section 27 of the Veterinary Surgeons act 1966 and chapter 19 of the supporting guidance for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons code of conduct for Veterinary Surgeons, as a complementary therapy, not alternative medicine.

  • The complementary treatment of animals by contact healing, the laying on of hands or distance healing is legal, however the Protection of Animals Act 1911 states that if an animal needs treatment from a Vet the owner must obtain this first. It is strongly recommended you discuss any potential Reiki therapy for your animal with a vet.

  • A Reiki Practitioner does not give diagnosis and is very careful not to do so.

When treating an animal I open the session using distance healing first, and then move to hands-on if it is appropriate, safe and tolerated by the animal receiving the treatment.

I am fully insured to practice Animal Reiki.
